Joseph D. Feuerstein graduated with a degree in medicine from the Boston University School of Medicine in 2007. As Postdoctoral Training, he spent three years (2007-2010) at the Boston University Medical Center followed by an additional year as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. He then trained for three years as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in gastroenterology. He's actively working on clinical research focused in quality improvement with a focus in inflammatory bowel disease, clinical practice guidelines, gastrointestinal bleeding, and clinical training. He has published multiple first author original research articles as well as many review articles and book chapters. He's actively involved in teaching at Harvard Medical School, and was the recipient of multiple teaching awards at both Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Boston Medical Center. In 2014 he received the Salix Fellowship to leadership grant award for future leaders in the field of gastroenterology.
