The Pyramid Journal of Medicine (PJM) is an online Open Access, peer-reviewed scholarly journal in the broad field of clinical and bio-medical sciences.
It gives me joy to introduce the maiden edition of the online version of the Pyramid Journal of Medicine (PJM), the official journal of the Nigerian Medical Association Kano State Branch (formerly a publication of the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital). The Pyramid Journal of Medicine intends to be the leading medical journal in Sub-Saharan Africa, with the goal of pushing research agenda for the region and creating a link between research and policy.
The aims of these publications are to advance the theory and practice of medicine through dissemination of scientific knowledge for the benefit of humanity and to encourage clinicians and non-clinicians to develop interests and skills in academic medicine. The journal intends to accept manuscript from all over the globe and disseminate scientific findings and reports in the same manner by means of the faster and higher visibility, and the wider impact model of Open Access publication.
In line with the ambition of the editorial board of making PJM accessible through major international indexing platforms, only scholarly manuscripts that meet the standards set by the board will be published. The PJM online platform allows prompt and easy submission and peer-review of the submitted manuscripts in line with the principles of Open Access publishing.
We are confident that our publications would provide ample opportunities for new and experienced researchers to share their findings.
On behalf of the PJM editorial board, I wish to solicit your indulgence in giving the journal wider publicity.
We look forward to a fruitful interaction, constructive critique and comments to make publishing with the journal a worthwhile endeavor.
