We firmly believe that a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms that cause malignant transformation will lead to more effective therapies for patients with hematologic malignancy. Most hematologic malignancies have been shown to bear chromosomal aberrations such as translocations, deletions, and duplications. Therefore, we have investigated whether those genetic alterations were crucial for malignant transformation using animal, especially mouse, models.
