This work aims to focus on sustainability and, where appropriate, the meaning that can be given to the term "adolescence" today in the light of changes in developmental theories and theoretical models on the subject. In particular, reference will be made to the passage from 'arched' evolutionary models to 'arrow' models, from mature and naturalistic models to relational and contextual models in the development of the subject, and an attempt will be made to place today's adolescence in the latter perspective.
