The work reports the methodology and results of the research-intervention that has been carried out for two years in the Emergency Room of the University Hospital of Parma in collaboration with the Ausl of Parma. Psychological consultation interviews were carried out with 1080 subjects aged between 14 and 24 who had access to the PS for traumatic reasons. The material collected from the interviews, in the form of answers to a personality test and data that emerged in the semi-structured part of the interview itself, were statistically processed and compared with a control group in order to answer some questions concerning the psychopathological characteristics of the adolescent and juvenile population accessing the SP. In addition, the possibility of using the SP as a place of access to psychological care was investigated for individuals who otherwise remain further away from the possibilities of intervention typical of social and health systems.
