This work seeks to show how Fromm can make other contributions to an alternative orientation in psychoanalysis. A case of narcissistic personality disorder is presented. It is assumed that the two main aspects of this case, narcissism and homosexuality, are the result of a pathological symbiosis with both parents. Eight themes are highlighted, taken from both Fromm's published and unpublished works.
